SINGAPORE - All eligible individuals aged 30 and above can walk in to a Moderna vaccination centre for their booster dose from Monday (Nov 1), said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in a statement on Saturday.

This applies to Singaporeans, permanent residents and long-term visit pass holders aged 30 and above who took the first two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty or Moderna mRNA vaccines at least six months ago, said the ministry.

The vaccination centres offering the Moderna booster shots are the community clubs at Buona Vista, Hong Kah North, Kebun Baru, Potong Pasir, Punggol 21, Radin Mas, Tampines East, Woodlands and Yew Tee.

After adjusting for age, gender and other differences, the study found that booster doses conferred around a further 70 per cent risk reduction against Covid-19 infections, and 90 per cent risk reduction against severe infections, as compared to those who had received only two doses to date at around the same period as those who had received their boosters.

"Hence, there is significant protection accorded by boosters, on top of the protection that two doses of mRNA vaccines already provide against Covid-19 - that is, on top of the vaccine effectiveness of 40 to 60 per cent against infection, when comparing vaccinated versus unvaccinated individuals, and more than 90 per cent against severe illness," said MOH.

Then 3rd jab called re- booster?

Next year 4th jab call what arh?

Very few takers of P after 78% vaccinated is reached. 

Also booster and third shots should be different.

Our leaders must learn that "Charity begins at home", we should only help others when we are adequately vaccinated....

Looks like the point of view is that those who take Pfizer should take Moderna. Most of them already know what happens. Should mix and not the same dose for Pfizer. Add another slightly different angle. Those who take Moderna should mix with Pfizer as a booster. This is the most logical thing to do. It is only that it comes with side effects.

After 2 doses, they are easily infected, even within 1 month of 2nd dose.

To get out of the loop, pay and take Sinopharm. But it is like a treasure hunt for that clinic.

I Pfizer but plan to mix it up …. like cockatail 

Likely the majority of those infected are with Pfizer but there is a likely equal proportion of those infected are with Moderna based on the number of injections. Moderna injection starts a few months later. Most of them might not have reached the 6 months to be injected with Pfizer.  It is about mixing now. Now, we don't have an accurate picture as most of the cases are not reported.

Today, most hotels are fully booked.

For 3rd booster.....I will wait first... see what is the side effect...

after 3rd jab, still have to wait for 4th jab.

Been going on for quite some time. My family members have received SMS to go for booster jabs. A lot of my neighbours, mainly those above 60 have received the booster jabs.

I hope that we don't need to have a 4th jab, cos it may lead to need of a having a 5th jab and so on.....

It will be called, Boost the booster. And thereafter 5th jab will be named Booster 5
