PAP. Always claims it is here to serve the (ordinary?) people and whatever they do which sometimes can be seen as harsh is for our own good.

This concept they promote is termed as servant leadership...they are serious (watch video below)

Problem is when the servant leader chooses to live in palatial homes several hundred times that of ordinary citizens flats the term "servant" become hard to accept. To serve someone you need to connect with the other person and empathise. Also when he leader is given perks like one month salaries that takes ordinary person 3years to earn, it is pretty hard to maintain this image of servant.

Going ahead we really need a new leadership paradigm because the old one is just not credible.

I think the idea of Open and Transparent Leadership would be better and more credible for the country. Along with it important practices:

1. Declaration of wealth and assets. This is adopted  by many countries and as long as the wealth is obtained legitimately it is no issues and never an embarrassment.

2. Transparency of benefits and income.

3. Business transactions and links to avoid conflict of interest.

I would also like to see more openness in their thinking and ideology. Alot of times we don't know what is in the mind of leadership and that causes suspicion.

They should be replaced by AI leadership.
Those with dubious character should step down or hara kiri like what Ah Cow said long ago. Start from the very top.

your theory is good but it is not practical.
PAP will not change unless their votes drop to 50%.

PAP MPs have good education but their characters are no different from ordinary people.
They are always prone to adultery and sometimes corruption.

Over your failure to get into a local university

Majority of Singaporeans are HAPPY with PAP

Go get yourself a job

Fcuking lazy jobless scum

Every day use this forum to whine

And instigate other to be a hater/loser like you

I did not cause all the problems in the PAP, they caused it themselves.

PAP failure to give Singaoorean better access to university education js seen by the number of Singaporeans who have to go overseas  for uni and the low % of each cohort educated to uni level lower than in S.Korea, Japan, Taiwan etc. PAP cannot keep blaming others for its failure to uphold its promise to educate every child to the highest level possible. Do I hate the PAP for the lack of opportunities for Singaporeans? No....however I hope they do not repeat this future generations of Singaporeans and do better.

As for your calling me names and attacking me personally. It is your vindictive hateful nature that has not change.

It is an imperative that leaders lead by example.

Minister Vivian who famously refused to improve the help to the needy ...the same leader can take advantage of rental scheme to live in a palatial bungalow. I can't imagine how large the sense of entitlement is....

what can you do if leader does not live by example ?

there is no point to tell voters what PAP leaders should do because PAP leader will not listen to you
unless their votes drop to 50%.

it is more important to tell voters what they should do to fix the leader because voters might listen to you to
vote out the leader.

a message to voters to do something is better than a message to leader to do something.

let me give 2 examples.

1) you go to see the leader and tell him what he should do.
then you tell the press what you told the leader.
the press publishes your statements in all newspapers.
1 million voters read what you told the leader what to do.

2) you go to a stage to address 1 million voters.
you tell them what and why they should do with their votes for the leader.
you never tell what the leader should do, you tell what the voters should do.

which example is more effective to change the leader ?

sgbuffet, you are a genius, you should know what to do.

To get a better understanding of why you couldn't get a place in our universities, do you mind telling us your GCE A level grades for the subjects your sat for.

You are also allowed to rent. Why didn't you "take advantage" of the rental scheem as you called it?
