RE: Racism :Black gymnast ignored at medal ceremony in Ireland - Fit - 02-10-2023 I think that is even worse than state ordered ones. It is already in their blood and in their breath! This network of anglophone countries includes the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. - The agreement concluded in September 2021 by Australia, Great Britain and the United States confirmed that the most important method of ensuring security in the Indo-Pacific are multilateral alliances. AUKUS, however, initiated a new model of cooperation, which is also based on a shared cultural heritage. Steps taken in this direction may give rise to further Anglo-Saxon cooperation that may also include Canada and New Zealand. These aren't isolated nor one-off incidents, but deeply rooted discriminations. They are much like your hatred towards china RE: Racism :Black gymnast ignored at medal ceremony in Ireland - Niubee - 02-10-2023 Angmo are also one authoritarian race. Ukraine war showed it all. They are authoritarian in ideology and religion. That is their ultimate goal for the world. Why didnt she ? Actually there are many qns I am just offering another view. There is possibility of racism ...and also possibility of a honest mistake. However, in the ultra sensitive ...politically correct environment it direct people to say it is racism ...and nothing else is possible. Imagine if the girl is white then the possibility of an honest mistake goes up. This in itself shows us that there is no rationality nor objectivity in people's views any more. The GI initially investigated and explained that there was a human error. But the pressure was so high they had to issue an unreserved apology. If the girl was white, such an apology is not needed. What does this say about the state of racial harmony? It tells us there is a break down of trust and increased politicisation of incidents. People don't even want to entertain another side of the story. It MUST be racism....they won't trust you if you say it is not racism. The racism card now becomes useful for politicians to use. Look at what happen in the US. Whenever , something happens if the racism card can be played ...it is played and hatred for others is encouraged....one side is always the victim of racism. While society ends up going downhill due to intolerance. We should be wary.lest we fall into the same trap. ![]() RE: Racism :Black gymnast ignored at medal ceremony in Ireland - Levin - 02-10-2023 Having watched the video and read the reports, the apology really came 18 months late. Ireland Gymnastics should have apologised publicly immediately once they were informed about the incident regardless of the reason of the omission or the race of the girl. The reason could be human error, it also could be racism or anything else but a public apology is definitely required. I am puzzled as to why they delayed it for so long. I agree that is is not handled well. But it could've they are unaware the video will be released. Imagine if there is no video....they believe that already settled by giving the child the medal after the event and an explanation to her parents. If the video was not release.and caused a stir world wide ...the closure should be just between IG and the parents of the child RE: Racism :Black gymnast ignored at medal ceremony in Ireland - WhatDoYouThink! - 02-10-2023 It's a very clear cut case, why ah butt needs to defend the case so vigorously with so many if-then-else? You think you're writing a computer program or what? No. Even if the video was not released, the apology should be made known to at least ALL participants and related parties of the event. Else, the apology will be meaningless. |
