Govt believes in capitalism (that means everyone has a right to make as much as they want) and everything left to market forces. They're afraid of the rich kpkb at them. For peasants no such problem to them because they can just build more covered walkways during ge.

Singapore is getting more expensive for no valid reason where chap chye png is not any bigger in portion nor is the quality of meat is getting better. Govt allow such irregularities to take place a few times on our coffee shops, affecting the Cost of Living but no salary increase. More disgruntled locals and future unrest in Singapore is just impending.
