No coalition of political parties managed to get a simple majority with Pakatan Harapan (PH🐎 ) won 82 seats and Perikatan Nasional (PN🐎 ), 73 seats, Barisan Nasional (🐎 30), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (🐎 23), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (🐎 six), Warisan (🐎 three). ☆ 》 Meanwhile
Dr M, Gerakan Tanah Air (🎃 GTA-Pejuang), failed to win any seat. Tongue ,☆ 》 Note: Pejuang lost in all🐏 🐏 🐏 125 constituencies.
The party could not even be the Opposition in Parliament (Dewan Rakyat). Nothing to plans for Dr M for he had plan for the country had to be dropped.
Not good to learn from Dr M.

A sign of more things to come with M'sian under Anwar ?
Malaysia, China to discuss ‘Asian Monetary Fund’ to cut USD dependency There is no reason for a country like Malaysia to continue to depend on the US dollar in attracting investments into the country, said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today.
I tend to look at this as half full....as there will always be Yin-Yang aspect for any currency fluctuations..

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said during the expo that his country will double its palm oil exports to China to 500,000 tons annually within a few years."This is the first time that China has asked for a big increase. Usually, it depends on price rates and considerations, but this time it's a fixed import agreement from China," Anwar said, according to local media.

They put blame on China's slowing economy?
Quote:(Jan 19): Malaysia’s economy grew at a slower-than-estimated pace in the fourth quarter on 2023 (4Q2023), as exports to China fell, signalling that a firmer recovery is taking longer than expected.
Gross domestic product (GDP) grew 3.4% in the October-December period from a year ago, according to advance estimates released by Malaysia’s Department of Statistics (DOSM) on Friday. That’s lower than the 4.1% median estimate in a Bloomberg survey.
Malaysia is grappling with falling exports that have been dragged by China’s sputtering economy. Shipments of goods abroad fell 10% from a year earlier in December, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti) separately reported on Friday, with sales to China, its largest trading partner, shrinking 1.5%.

That is why our core policy is about multilingualism since 1965..which Bilingual education is built on.
So learning more languages is beneficial to everyone.
That was why LKY mastered Bahasa Melayu (better than some of the Malays)....but still didn't prevented SG from being kicked out of M'sia.
Before 9 Aug 1965, there was a young English-educated Chinese speaking in near-perfect Malay in KL...that still didn't work for SG-MY union.
This shows if someone wants to hate you for who you are, speaking their language often will not help....
Just ask how English-speaking Asians, Africans and Arabs are treated in America...

Errr...yet another convenient scape goat from American's fear of anyone who is ethnic Chinese.
Dickson was released a free man with no charge as ISD, in contradiction of US gov allegation, states Yeo "does not pose a security threat that warrants continued detention."
So now you want Chew to be arrested by ISD simply because an American politician suka suka call SG or SGrean a "Communist" ?:
