When in doubt whether a teacher is genuine, we check with the sutras, which are the actual teachings of Buddha. There is no way to be found in the sutra that we have to burn the 'little houses'.

that is true, 白莲教, White Lotus was popular during Qing dynasty to fight garment. FLG’s strategy is acting like a victim to get sympathy from the public, their selling point is Organ Harvest, which can’t be verified. FLG not only has huge number of followers it is also financially rich, has own non-religious newspaper, Youtube Channels, TV stations and Chinese traditional dance show showing from country to country to influence the world snd the US policymakers. FLG is more like a political organization.

Burning paper money or houses or cars is Taoism practice, many Chinese mixed Taoism with Buddhism or simply dunt understand what the real Buddhism teaching is about, no wonder got fooled easily by masters.

Too bad, due to Covid restriction, Australia had been locked down for 18 months, borders were closed, nobody could go out, as a result he couldn’t travel around the world conducting his teaching and selling his ‘little houses’, now Australia is about to open borders he passes away.
