S'pore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen on Friday (Apr 18) announced. He will not be contesting in May 3 General Election . He said this, during a People's Action Party (PAP) press conference to unveil PAP team for Bishan-Toa Payoh Group Representation Constituency (GRC). Minister for Transport Chee Hong Tat will take his place as anchor minister leading team into the election for the GRC.

Dr Ng also spoke about his time at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), & how S'pore Armed Forces is no longer a "poison shrimp" but is "larger than a shrimp now" and "quite poisonous at this point of time"...
