Rights group Justice for Myanmar (JFM) reports that Bishop is a strategic advisor for Energy Transition Minerals (ETM), a mining company involved in the contentious Kvanefjeld project in Greenland.

The NUG reports a significant victory for resistance groups, with air support from junta warplanes failing to prevent the capture of two military officers.

The embattled junta is aiming to organize an election by January with Chinese, Russian help.

This is how they killed the civilians. Evil junta shd be arrested, just like Dutere, to face trial in ICC.

Liberation Army (TNLA).A spokesperson for group controls the town, said that a regime warplane dropped four bombs on monastery at around 5:30pm, killing monks & 3 civilians there.
“2 monks, 4 novice monks, & 3 civilians died of shrapnel wounds in the aerial assault,” TNLA’s press team told Myanmar, on Monday.At least 17 others, including 13 monks, were also injured—some of them critically—the spokesperson added.Residents of the area confirmed that the monastery, which was being used to shelter civilians. They added that no TNLA troops were present at the time.

Over 300 cargo trucks carrying Thai goods were intercepted in Hpa-an, Karen State, earlier this month, causing a sharp decline in Thai-Myanmar border trade.

The Myanmar military has seized the trucks at Thiri car compound in new efforts to curb illegal trade. 

Officials are inspecting truck’s supply to check for tax compliance. Those proper documentation will not be confiscated, sources say. The regular checks on trucks arriving from Myawaddy at the checkpoint near Hpa-an, uncertainty regarding what actions will be taken against some 300 seized trucks, local business people are unwilling to import goods this moment say entrepreneur & member central committee of Myanmar Highway Freight Transportation Service Association said.

MYANMAR: Distraught Myanmar relief camp dwellers received final handouts from the World Food Programme on Wednesday (Mar 19) as the UN agency begins halting aid to a million people in the country because funding has dried up.

The junta’s enactment of the Conscription Law in February 2024 has been a boon for corrupt officials, with numerous reports of intimidation and extortion by authorities targeting those seeking to evade mandatory military service.

During a meeting on Thursday with military personnel and their families in Kalaw, southern Shan State, deputy junta chief Soe Win admitted his regime has had to grapple with daily cases of corruption in conscription bodies at all levels over the past year.

However, despite widespread reports of extortion and graft by junta conscription officials, the regime has previously acknowledged just one case – when it took action against a police officer and administrators in Shwebo, Sagaing Region, in January.
