No bring IC - cannot vote - wendychan - 01-09-2023
Was just at jln besar CC
i had my drivers liscnce with my
BUT you need IC / passport or the singpass app
so now i am home and have way better things to do with my time then go back to the polling station with my IC
the upside is Im glad im not part of the wayang

that can be scanned as well
99.9% of my old life, drivers lisncece works
im sure it would work if they wnated it too ..

i actually wanted to vote, but im not going to the polling station 2nd time since 1st time i went, i could not vote due to no IC BUT got drivers liscence

It's written very clearly on the polling card to bring your IC or Passport
Driver's licence, though accepted in most occasions, is not accepted by Banks or official Govt business
You know what, you don't use Singpass app, you don't bring IC when you have one, then why you go to the polling station?
You expect them to accept your Driver's Licence, is it?

Such an impt occasion, I checked and double checked that I bring my polling card, IC, marker pen, before I go
I even hv Singpass app, but I prefer to use my IC, it's foolproof.

andyes, i DID expect them to accept drivers liscence, since the bar code on the licence can be scanned
but they didnt so im not going to go a 2nd time
but i certainly didnt do it on purpose

My Singpass app installed on my Android 6.0 phone did not work with the lousy face recognition, tried 3 times gave up and uninstalled.
