To win the "overall war", Israel need to ensure the next generation of Palestinian don't exist similar to how Hitler try to exterminate all Jews. It is a very hard to attain that objective so I would say it may win Hamas this round but not the "overall war" itself. If Israel follow like Hitler to wipe them out, then got chance to win the "overall war" and we know history have shown Hitler failed so what make Israeli think they will succeed?
