Israeli tanks are outside the gates of Gaza City's main hospital, as it accused Hamas of using the premise as its headquarters. A health official denied the claims and said the siege was killing its patients.

Israel forces is conducting "precise" operation against Hamas in a specific area of the al-Shifa medical complex. The Israel Defense Forces incursion is "based on intelligence information and an operational necessity." The military further reported locating a Hamas training encampment containing tunnel shafts, classrooms, intelligence materials and weapons.

WHO states situation at the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza has grown increasingly dire and a cease-fire is necessary to preserve civilian lives. WHO has said that al-Shifa has ceased to function.
