Along the way, through the evolution of time, ppl started believing in other gods

So the messengers were sent one after another over the passage of time to correct them..

So around 2000 years ago, another messenger was sent to correct them again.. But lo & behold.. some ppl started to belief he was a god

As per Islam Jesus was a Muslim, Messenger, Great prophet and the Messiah l.We accept Gospel what ever align with Quran only .Most of Christianity teachings are differ(Not derive)from Islam.Some examples,
We don’t believe in original sin
We don’t believe god has a son.Quran chapter 112 refutes 
We don’t believe Joseph was his father

Well.. the original followers of Jesus did not think of him as a god

Its only decades later after his death that they elevated his status as one, mostly from the work of one man Saul (aka Paul)

Its probably the same reason why there are so many different gods on earth.. when good ppl pass away they become revered & worshipped
