I have decided not to meet or visit toxic relatives during CNY. I have an auntie who is jealous of her wealthier siblings, so she gossips behind their backs. Her adult children are not doing well in their respective careers while her grandchildren are not coping well in school. This causes her to have an inferiority complex which is manifested in her bad mouthing her brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces etc. I have considered this aunt persona non-grata a long time ago.
