Dear Donors, Families and Friends,
It’s been a while since my last update and to be honest, I am very sorry to say that we are running out of funds. Jayden’s medication is going to finish by 8th April and there is no way to sustain his medication going forward. We won’t be able to keep this campaign going as he needs his medication supply daily and it wouldn’t work if we pause/resume whenever we have funds to continue his medicine.
It is too costly at $28,000 per month and we simply cannot continue anymore.
I am so sorry, we still don’t have a sustainable solution to keep his treatment going.
However, we are truly very grateful for all your support and we wouldn’t have been able to provide him 1 year and 2 months of treatment without everyone’s collective donations and support.
Jayden has done very well during this period and hit his developmental milestones, and I am convinced the medication has helped him tremendously. Although we still need to monitor him for spine, sleep apnea and hearing issues, he hasn’t require any medical surgery/intervention so far (touch wood).
Jayden is an active and cheeky boy now, and is picking up on his words. Most of the time only his jie jie can understand what he is trying to say. They are the best of friend (BFF) and I am very glad they have each other.
We are not giving up on hope yet, it is an ongoing battle. A battle that we must acknowledge, coexist with and still enjoy the process of living.
I hope one day I am able to update that we don’t have to worry about his treatment funds anymore! We will continue to find ways to help/support him and pray for a miracle. At least we have tried and given it a good fight!
Currently there’s about $18,062.55 funds available on Give Asia and I hope donors can generously continue to support him to buy another month of supply. Thereafter we will have to stop this campaign and use the proceed to buy last batch of medication. Any left over funds will be donated back to Give Asia child med for the next child in need.
We will keep this campaign active until 29th February as his medication supply typically takes about 1-1.5months to reach us.
I have been prepping myself for this day, and I know he will grow up well no matter what because he has the best support system around him. WE ALL LOVE HIM dearly and will teach him to love himself, to believe in himself, be kind and strong, and live life to the fullest!
Watch out world, he will be unstoppable ❤️
