Budget 2024: S$3.6b deficit incurred in 2023 fiscal year despite higher-than-expected revenues, 'balanced fiscal position' expected this year
Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong unveiled a S$131.4 billion spending plan in Budget 2024. Combined with the expected revenue for the year ahead, a small surplus of S$0.8 billion, or about 0.1 per cent of GDP, is projected.
