You won’t have friends or allies if you do this. Today we are at the longer end of the stick so we naturally think it’s alright. How do we feel when we were left out of OBOR back then?

We can’t take sides between USA and China, now we can’t even maintain the relationship with ASEAN. Well done. Our top and bottom neighbors won’t allow TS to be there but that doesn’t mean others SEA countries can’t.
