Close to morning, you spend more time in REM sleep and you have more dreams. You're most likely to remember vivid dreams when REM sleep is interrupted.

I have an elderly acquaintance who dreams even while he is awake, telling everyone that he has sweet young girls who are infatuated with him even though he has no money and only works part-time. Do most old men live in their own world?
