He said treatment would usually be antibiotics with penicillin, with light early symptoms including running a temperature, sore throat and rashes, but it could quickly deteriorate to sore and swelling limbs.

Blisters and purplish, white, or dark spots could appear if the condition continued to worsen and the patient would be constantly tired, Tsang added.

Tsang backed Lam's advice on personal hygiene, mask use in crowded places and the need to wash hands often.

He added people with cuts and wounds should tend to them properly, avoid seawater and public baths, and seek medical help if they spotted any abnormalities.

Wonder if those fruits, veg and meat that are imported from Japan are contaminated with flesh eating bacterial or not? Just now HK news reported that those people in Japan were advised to put on mask.

37-year-old M’sian beautician working in S’pore loses 4 limbs after bacterial infection also lost her job work permit in Singapore after be cancelled b'cos of her illness. This news is on 5 Jun 2024.

Lin Ai Ling (name transliterated from Chinese), a 37 yr old beautician from Ipoh, Malaysia who worked in Singapore, lost her limbs after a bacterial infection last Oct. She was forced to amputate to save herself turned black from sepsis.
Since her ordeal, Ms Lin has spent over S$300,000 of her saving on medical bills, (emptying her savings). She has or might be unable to remain in S'pore. Ms Lin hopes to stay here to continue her treatment & find some work when she recovers
hoping to moved to Singapore from Ipoh & her loved for S'pore. 

On Tuesday (4 June) Shin Min Daily News reported on Ms Lin’s plight. Be4 she lost her limbs, Ms Lin, work as beautician@beauty salon here,
