" 忽悠画大饼" (hū yōu huà dà bǐng) is a Chinese idiom that means "to paint a big cake in the air" or "to make empty promises".

The idiom is used to describe someone who is:

- Making exaggerated or unrealistic promises
- Talking about something that is not practical or possible
- Trying to deceive or cheat others with false hopes
- Not being truthful or sincere in their words or actions

The idiom is often used in situations where someone is making grandiose claims or promises that are unlikely to materialize, and serves as a reminder to be cautious of empty promises and to prioritize action over rhetoric.

Having such a narrow mindset to suppress critics is not viable to bring a country forward. Such a mindset is very unhealthy for a country and tends to hv setback of moving forward.

When someone tilts their head to one side while making a speech, it can convey various messages depending on the context and accompanying nonverbal cues. Here are some possible interpretations:

1. *Emphasis or exaggeration*: The head tilt may be used to add emphasis or exaggerate a point, similar to using gestures or facial expressions.

2. *Skepticism or doubt*: A head tilt can indicate that the speaker is skeptical or doubtful about something, or that they're questioning their own statements.

3. *Thoughtfulness or reflection*: The head tilt may suggest that the speaker is thinking deeply or reflecting on their words, showing a more contemplative or introspective side.

4. *Nervousness or uncertainty*: In some cases, a head tilt can be a sign of nervousness or uncertainty, especially if accompanied by other nonverbal cues like fidgeting or avoiding eye contact.

5. *Rhetorical flourish*: The head tilt might simply be a rhetorical flourish, a habitual gesture that adds variety to their speech without carrying specific meaning.

Remember, context is key! Consider the speaker's tone, body language, and overall demeanor to better understand the intended message.

Rhetorical flourish

Meta AI: A rhetorical flourish is a gesture, expression, or movement that adds emphasis, flair, or style to a speaker's delivery, but doesn't necessarily convey specific meaning. It's a way to add variety, enthusiasm, and engagement to their speech.

Examples of rhetorical flourishes include:

- A sweep of the arm
- A nod or head tilt
- A raised eyebrow
- A smile or grin
- A pause for dramatic effect
- A change in tone or pitch
- A gesture with their hands or body

Rhetorical flourishes can:

- Add emphasis to a point
- Create a sense of drama or excitement
- Engage the audience and maintain their attention
- Convey confidence and enthusiasm
- Add a touch of personality to the speech

Remember, rhetorical flourishes are meant to enhance the speech, not distract from it. They should be used judiciously and authentically to support the message and engage the audience.

I'm always very wary of exhortations by politicians. Aren't there enough examples in history to show that they aren't trustworthy?
