Never buy a ground or low floor flat because rats are a persistent issue in HDB estates in SG. Authorities find thousands of rat burrows in public areas in the heartlands every 2 months. This is because of the many hawker centres, coffee shops and wet markets in HDB estates. The increasing sightings are possibly due to wet weather forcing rats out of hiding and more food waste owing to SG being overpopulated.
