I can only imagine the number of rats and mice scurrying among the packet food in supermarkets during closing hours. Apart from food secure in tins and plastic boxes, those in plastic packets and styrofoam will be easily bitten through by these rodents.

I would admit that Singaporeans aren't the cleanest peepur in the world.
But when most of the workers in food preparation and cooking and even service are from certain countries, you get the standard from that country.
Malaysians are not so bad. The Chinese are the worst. If you have seen how they work in China, and you bring them here to work in food factories, catering, kitchen, food preparation, you know what you'd get.
