CFD already does that but wide spreads like bookie fee.

their NOVA PLATFORM THOUGH FREE COMMISSION THE SPREAD IS HORRENDOUS AT LEAST 3-5 BIDS HIGHER

My advice is mot to do after hours trade.
The spreads are wide and market is illiquid.
Of some odd news come out while you queue your bid/offer it can get done to your disadvantage...unless you are the one with insider info. or access to quick news.
Very few people need such a platform.
The futures market trade round the clock and can be used to trade effectively.

They did not take a big cut...the US govt took a big cut called withholding tax of 30%...this is paid to US govt .
That is why don't buy US stocks to get dividends.

There will not be enough liquidity lah. Would need half of all traders in Asia to take part to generate enough liquidity, but Philip is too small a bit player to set up this kind of platform.

Phillip always innovate but cannot make it big. Because i heard their Boss if 2 brothers are big miser..very Cat one...pay very low to staff even performance is good.

Innovate? ...I think they just copy.
I find our traditional brokerages including Phillip never expand to "fulfil client financial needs" rather than just think of making commissions.
Philip is still one of the better ones still got some new products and talks. Others are just dinosaurs.
They were well positioned to be something bigger and better but many just complacent.
Now the new players Futu, Tiger, iFast come in to eat their lunch.
Endowus for example found a niche in CPF investing and low cost investing....and quickly fill this gap. iFast started with offering unit trust went into brokerage business by under cutting existing players and now going into fund management.
This is a business with a lot of potential ...

Their only innovation is poems, I think. Now the son took over, not sure if senior Lim is still involved. Maybe as mentor.
They don't pay well. Many staff left thru the years.
