Based on a 2019 study in South Korea, the rate of accidents involving involving car-sharing vehicles is far higher than those of privately owned ones. This is due to inexperience, hirers who seldom drive, their irresponsible attitude and lack of respect for vehicles that they do not own. There is also next to no checks by companies on who is actually behind the wheel of the cars. The hirer may have a driving licence, but not the driver. |
