Give all the credits to all the participants for their dedication and hard work training all these years. They better than us who sits at home and only criticize them.

So lousy result, not even a Single medal, you still praise them.
If your kid get lousy result in school.
You praise your kid or scold your kid.
Very hypocrite if you dont criticise them.

Of course. They have given up their time and effort to train and participate in the sports to realise their dream of taking part in the Olympics. The result doesn't matter. If they get the medals good for them. If not they are still better than you and I. You only know how to criticise. Tongue

Of course we wont blame those participants who have done their best.
The hardwork is beyond imagination. 
But do you think all of them  have done their best.

Losing is part and parcel of the game. Even the great Michael Phelp lost to our Joseph Schooling. Otherwise, Singapore would not have won the gold medal!

You've added the remarks about your kid. 
My opinion .... if your kid get lousy marks in school, yes you can criticise your kid. But at the same time you have to encourage them to do better the next time around. You don't add additional pressure or stress them till depression crops up. modern times now different from our time where our parents leave us to do what we want. It's a pressure cooker society now. Thinking Thinking
