Note the following:
- the agreement is tentative
- workers initially wanted a 77% raise
- automation issue remains unresolved. Workers wanted to stop all automation projects as they will lead to less jobs but the ports refused, which makes sense as a lot of the world's ports are automated and thus much more efficient.

62% over 6 years is 10% each year but they endured inflation for multiple years liao? The workers and union not very good at negotiation?

I think they have been very good at negotiating when they get US$39 an hour leow. Getting US$63 is really fantastic. I think many Americans have the same thinking as I do based on what I gathered from the forums on the internet.
