How come the judge has proven the case of high salary to prevent politicians from corruption is BS.?
In addition, the judge can show that many lowly paid politicians in advanced countries are not corrupted.
Question 22: Are taxpayers being blinded?

Politicians in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden often sacrifice lucrative careers for public service. Their salaries as MPs and ministers are relatively modest, and they receive minimal perks. While they have access to public transportation for commuting, chauffeured vehicles might be provided for official functions. Despite these limited benefits, corruption is rare in the Nordic countries. Retired politicians receive pensions similar to ordinary citizens. The region's reputation for integrity suggests that paying people to combat corruption may not be the most effective solution. Instead, the key may lie in how bribery is regulated and who benefits from it.

The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) is a yearly ranking of countries based on their perceived levels of public sector corruption. It's created by Transparency International using expert and business executive assessments. The CPI defines corruption as the misuse of power for personal gain. Denmark, Finland, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden consistently score high on the index, indicating a low perceived level of corruption. However, unlike S'pore, the politicians in these countries are poorly paid.

Let us call a spade a spade. Our politicians demand obscene wages because of greed. They choose to obtain huge sums of money by deciding their own pay instead of taking the risk to steal public funds like their counterparts in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam etc.

A country who hv such leaders are truly respectable and their hearts are for their citizens, forgoing all political for their self entitlements. And the citizens in these Skandinavia countries are still living a happy and satisfying life. Unlike countries whose leaders are so greedy and highly paid themselves, while citizens are struggling with their living. Such leaders are not worth respecting and lacked conscience.

Our leaders speak with forked tongues when they claim to be looking for ways to reduce the cost of living for us while bringing in more foreigners, inflating the price of homes and cars as well as introducing unrelenting hikes on essential services. Our govt is the cause of the hardship, but pretend to be trying to suppress inflation.

It's just a myth.
No amount of money can change a person's character.
Pinky used a fairytale myth to justify paying himself millions. It's legalized corruption.

Offering financial incentives to reduce corruption suggests that underlying corruption remains. The crucial factors are who benefits from such payments and the mechanisms in place to prevent abuse.
