South Korea are in denial. Whether Trump or Harris, US deep state admin are not going to continue provide free protection service for SK, Japan, Taiwan.
Trump merely said it out loud. The others who don't say it out just keep quiet about it only, but they are thinking the same.

I don't think it is free service of protection.
It is in exchange for them to form alliance with US to contain China.
It is also for buying expensive American weapons.

The article says currently SK is paying about 1B yearly to US and Trump wanted to increase it to 10B.
