It resulted in the bloodiest terrorist attack in France in decades. The Islamic leadership in S'pore must combat deviant versions of Jihad by expounding on mainstream interpretations, which include a believer's internal struggle to live out the Muslim faith as well as possible, the struggle to build a good Muslim society, the struggle to defend Islam or the internal spiritual struggle – all of which are accepted by many in the Muslim community. |
