To most seniors, the Govt cares for them since they are given money when their own children are not even doing what the politicians are providing.

elderly aunty do not hv to worry about the economy do not hv to worry no money to pay for utilities bills grocery etc all these are taken care off by the children
they hv left the working circle many yrs ago do not know is now a dog eat dog v cruel working life.

government do not produce money normally. they provide service that no one wants to do. like police, hosipital, schools and military. so gov use tax and various avenue to bring in money to cover expenses. sure it is a balance.
gst good or bad. not too bad as it taxes those who normally not pay tax as well. like bookie, robbers.scammers etc. always need to give the money over collected back to society. best to give to middle, lower and no income citizens.
saying breaking one leg then give a wheel chair is what the person who post said. it is not a fair comparison.
i think it is a slander.
