First of all when  buying a stock most important thing is the difference between price and value. AMD and TSMC because of hype are overvalued.

When it comes to process technology 
1. The process technology is saturating due to leakage current problem. It will take longer and longer to reach next generation.

2. This means Intel has alot of time to catch up and close the gap.

3. Even at higher micron and lower end processes there is demand in fact only a small tiny  fraction of chips are sold at 3nm.
