Other countries put SAFETY first. All buildings and apartments have a fire Alarm at the lobby under the law.
Inside the office and the house, the owners ( not leasees) will have to put one near the kitchen.
But SG is just a FAKE Developed country.

do u know 5rm point block do not have fire/emergency exit?

Better don’t install fire alarm in HDB.
Need to maintain, yearly check to make sure fire alarm is working and sometimes the fire alarm system is not reliable. Will have false alarm. It is best to inculcate home owner to buy a fire extinguisher, keep at least one at home.

there are some bulky items that are too big to enter the lift if no staircase how they bring up n down ?
