More cases equate to more deaths. Seems like OYK don't know but is naive to think that Omicron is mild and at most 1 to 2 deaths daily. He is clearly out of touch. Doom when we have such minister that are making critical decisions involving life and death..

16883, just as bad and scary.
Even fully vaccinated (including booster shots) can be paranoid and anxious if the figures are so high.

Can declare that we "have kept the number of severe cases low " on a day when there is a big jump in number of deaths .

Ok if the deaths are the elderly. Just need to protect our young, they will contribute to our economy in future.

More cases, virus load become higher, mild case can change to serious.
Also icu occupied, those who in need face potential death risks.
make no attempt to promote better mask or nasal spray. Typically silly or bochap

So the elderlies who had contributed to nation building during their younger days deserve to die??
Even if our parents/grandparents may be senior in age, we are reluctant to let them go.

Next week MOH said no need to do ART weekly test than maybe the figure may come down already...but so many dead cases no breakdown whether from Delta or Omicron? Or original covid-19 ?

Most of the countries are showing little deaths but increasingly we are seeing more deaths.
Our political MOH-HSA just keeps quiet.
Is it Asian that is prone to Omicron? Is it we are testing the wrong experimental medicine? Is it that we lost control of the situation?

The number of infections from Covid-19 at 16,000 + is frightening, and the number of deaths from this viruses is by no means low. What must the minister in charge do next to curb the large number of infections and deaths......?

Even with deaths, they will present a good picture. This can be found on their website.

Cannot think that is moral of our life.
If the young are not taught well, they may left sg so not contribute to the country..
Nothing in future is confirm, till already confirmed.
No doubt infection among young become common for new variants, death is very rare for young.
To protect all education of using better mask, nasal spray, frequent cleaning is the basic.
Nasal vaccine should be consider. There is almost no antibodies at the main entry points of our bodies.
Strategy deployed by most countries are flawed.
Strong evidence show Omicron is from another animal host, so current implementation of just jab vaccine is not sufficient.
Also if aids said to evolve deadlier, how can we be sure covid would not.
It seems difficult but key point is break the chain of transmission. Within months the pandemic can ended if use right approach.

Will you say the same if you belong to the elderly categories? These people had contributed to our economy in the past so that you get to enjoy the good life you have now.

My biggest prob now is even when it is announced today got 13 deaths, it will never match the chart at MOH website. So how are we going to monitor this number.

I'm starting to think that MOST are not reported, not just many.
Am also wondering whether yesterday's number excluded those who went to the QTC centre instead of going to the doctors .
