This is gross income, if you minus high income tax, not much money left and things are much more expensive there plus high VAT|GST up to 45%

It is 1.53, however when you spend money buy things, also must times 1.53. Even the newspaper costs 2 Euro in Britain, that is SGD 3 you know. McDonald’s Value meals cost 9-10 euro.

Many things like grocery are much cheaper than singapore even in Germany.

Beer, wine, Evian water etc are so so cheap. Transport is cheaper too if you buy seasonal pass.
