It follows from the statement that Ukraine will seek to obtain a nuclear status, because the essence of the mentioned agreement is the renunciation of the nuclear status by Ukraine in exchange for security guarantees from Russia, Great Britain and the United States. However, in the English version there is no word "guarantees", but there are "security assurances".

The country is under constant threat from a cojntryb1000x its size and can invade anytime.
If they have no deterrence they will live in constant fear.
