CPF pays interest @ 2.5% pa vs Norway's Pension Fund ROI 14.5% in 2021
"Norway's Government Pension Fund Global, Oslo, returned 14.5% in 2021, driven by positive equity and real estate returns, Norges Bank said in an annual report released Thursday.
Managed by Norges Bank Investment Management, the sovereign wealth fund ended the year with 12.34 trillion Norwegian kroner ($1.4 trillion). The one-year return was 74 basis points higher than its benchmark index.
Equities led the performance, returning 20.8% in 2021, following by real estate at 13.6%, while renewable energy infrastructure investments returned 4.2%. Its first investment in unlisted renewable energy infrastructure was announced in April, and it will build up that portfolio primarily through wind and solar power, according to the annual report."

Let me put my CPF $$$ with Norway's Pension Fund for 10 years and compare with CPF management.
S$780,000 is nothing to worry about
@14.5 ROI = S$3000000 in 10 years.

14.5% is amazing. Maybe cool weather is better for the brain, can think better.
GIC is very kiasu type, can never beat Norway fund.
We should outsource some funds to them to manage.

Norway is rich in petroleum and Singapore has none. Norway invests its fund in oil and gets very good returns in good times. But recently, it's losses is around USD90 billion. On the other hand, CPF is allowed only to invest its fund in Government Securities earning a yield of around 2.5% - 3%. If you so think that Norway's Pension Fund is better, please move and settle there, then enjoy their Funds.
