I noticed Govt recently got few 24hr helpline. I wonder these people they outsourced or " just like SDA ownself create job ownself pay " than MOM will claim a lot locals got job.

I know my aunt with pee problem will need 1 helper 24 x7 days
I know of one old woman who is blind who also needs a helper 24 X 7 days.
Can RC arrange something for the helper within the block?

Special provisions should be given to employers who require the helper to be with the bedridden person all the time in case of emergencies and daily needs.

Seriously, Gan SH is just an Idiotic Queen
hire an idiot Armey General for what?
1. If maid get cheated of their money
How?
2. If maid get pregnant and deported, then MOM should train a new maid
Or can we sue Gan SH?
3. If like some elderly, no children to replace the maid on rest day
How?
4. Or some elderly in their 80s and children already past 60s cannot help
How?
5. Some are fathers or fat mothers and the daughter has no strength
How?
6. Getting a good maid is barely 5% chance
How?
Gan SH cannot manage this issue and seems to encourage people to dump their elderly parents.
She should be sacked!

what if Maid herself Don't want to take one day off but accept Pay rise as employer claim if you don't take any off I will increase your pay

Govt has made Employers paid monthly levies for maid but nothing provided. MP Gan is another untrainable dementia patient wjere we have to babysit her.

Employers are paying the levies, not the maids yet they must be trained 3 or 6 months . If they are working only 5 days per week and follow our working hours, then they should rent a room outside.

Many people treat their maids like slaves lah! No off day. Very low pay. Overworked.

Those in security, cleaning , service sectors, restaurant, hotel , hospital nurses doctors etc all shall have 5 days per week By your logic they are not slave too.
Need to understand the definition of slave.
Maids have free board and lodging, free medical and hospitalisation, No time spend on transport to and fro from work, no meetings and projects etc.
Most maids sleep at 9 pm and let say wake up at 6 am
There is 8 to 9 hours of sleep except those need to take care baby or sick.
They might need to wake up when baby is crying.
To introduce across the board 5 days per week to all employees, then what will happen to the economy of Little Red Dot?

For some is because elderly needs maid like my neighbour with Alzheimer. He will burn the house down or just unlock the door and go missing for days until policemen brings him home.

Make it a choice for them if they want 5 days renter pay themselves don’t ask the owner to pay.
