Every hawker set up stall given the licence to overcharge and in their mind, it is their guaranteed ticket to become instant millionaires, dishing out average food because like Food Republic, they choped all the choice locations that office workers have to go to for their food.

Mainstream News show on tv ALWAYS show " people say now nicer, now look better "
Every Single time when a hawker centre been " upgraded "
just recently shufu road hawker centre upgraded, again show " people say now good "
but later report , 80percent of the hawkers plan to increase price , claim due to inflation.
BUT they never claim " due to upgrading " this is also another factor in fact.

We don't owe these hawkers to make them instant millionaires ok
They think once they got that filthy license to operate from NEA is their ticket to become millionaires, so they will never give the consumers a good deal
If they raise the prices, it is always point fingers to the landlords
But they are snake rat in same nest
Only the consumers especially those salaried workers get fleeced in the end
This is something PAP can do something about it but obviously NEVER
Because they are paid millions and live in their ivory towers
You die your own business
Since they know most Sinkies are dumbfcuks to the core
Slapped on the face still say THANK YOU VERY MUCH type of dumbfcuks!

The rich people are not really impacted by this since they rarely eat in Hawker centers. As for the young grads protected by Employment Pass salary requirements, neither will they see outside their circle. My guess is that they will only lose 1 GRC.
