Of course its easy - Taiwan is part of China, why the need to "invade" ? 
Just ask why Jap ended up returning the Island to China.

these ingrates..................the Japs came to promote modern civilization and these goons try to fight the Japs ??!!

if not for the Japs................in 1949, Kuomintang would have to build up Taiwan - a barren island from scratch...........

Wow....u consider Jap invasion of TW Island as "promoting modern civilization".. Sounds like what the AMTK would have said to the Native American indians and Aussie Aborigines..

And just like any coloniser, they were not welcomed based on the event as shown in the Award-winning movie.
