Heard many people from Kinmen bought properties in Xiamen and now they are very rich….they have more close ties with Xiamen than Taiwan. UOB founder was also from Kinmen.

Cannot compare...金门岛 is far less developed than next door 厦门. It is like Pulau Ubin to nearby Paris Ris town, only closer < 2 km...Any hobbyist drone can easily be flown over this distance.
