Eighty-three per cent of respondents believed that the death penalty is more effective than life imprisonment in deterring drug traffickers. The study involving 7,221 respondents from six regional cities, also found that 94 per cent of regional residents perceived Singapore to be safe and 80.5 per cent of regional residents were aware of laws for serious crimes such as murder and drug trafficking. Monday go Court then Sunday hang them. |
