Diu la. Own party controls all levers of power and influence in SG, talk what "increased political contestation"? Any "increase" is because THEY allow it, not because they accept it.

Also, it's open secret that SG's public service is hopelessly politicised and non-partisan thanks to the PAP packing it with only people they approve and control anyway. Don't even talk about "increased political contestation", I worry far more about how in future even if an opposition party takes power it will be the Opposition Gov vs the PAP Civil Service.
