actually the driver will automatic check, when he take cash from you as they turn back
after return change etc he will naturally see the seat behind you got left anything.

Correct. How can the taxi driver see “it” when the next person jump into the taxi after the previous person opened the door to get out?

Oftentimes they drop someone on the roadside.... so they need to get out of the taxi to check ?
No, they can't check just by turning their heads , unless they are poltergeist. There are areas where they can't see just by turning their heads while seated.
Furthermore , sometimes another passenger hops in immediately.
