Quite cheap, 1.50

I prefer the plastic one. Easy and cheap. Won't get short-circuited. Very useful. $1 to $2 only.

It is still better. The light with sound is very useful. Had used it for several years. Always take out the two batteries after use.

Test pen is to test for electric current. No need battery lah. If there's electric current, it'll light up.

The old screwdriver test pen was mainly spoilt. One needs contact while the other doesn't need it.

With the sound, you will know the strength of the electrical power. It is by proximity. You don't need contact.

Using test pen actually not very safe, make sure you know the supply voltage of DB unit.
I have already heard few incidents of test pen flown away.
