I am very surprised DBS CEO said he is not concerned about the $1.4B billion loaned to Adani ...instead of taking action to secure some of the funds.

Not sure if you have seen this. Apparently, Adani used its high stock price to pledge as collateral for loans and used the money for acquisitions.

When the stock fell, it got a margin call to pledge more shares as collateral.
Remind me of s chip companies who used their stock as collateral for loans. The downside can turn into vicious cycle.

Even if you don't believe any of the fraud accusations , the stock price is crazy overvalued...that alone is a red flag. Hindenburg said the stock price is manipulated up to use as collateral to borrow money.
