Duterte's war on drugs was just a killing spree - sgbuffett - 14-02-2023

Apparently, the police use their "right to kill" to terrorise poor neighborhoods. The extent of the killing of innocent people is now investigated by ICC. The police dared not touch the drug Lords who are fully armed.

Receiving the license to kill, police abused their power many innocent dead ...only after the new president took over they can begin the body count for victims.

Ah Butt doesnt understand what is drug.
It ruins thousands of families. If you have taken Ice before, it can never be detox…

He never read Chinese History, how the British sold the Opium to China. Many Chinese were harmed by them. 这些人,你还跟他们讲仁义道德,不是吧!

It is a drug war not drug game.

Will be going there for a short trip again. Improved, but still a long way to go. Children used to roam the streets at night.

Those who said drug dealers should be killed to solve the problem sure. Problem is many if not most were innocent people and even if they by chance kill a drug dealer the mastermind king pin is untouched hence it was ineffective.

If he succeed perhaps one can say ends justify the means.

But after killing so many innocent. Problem became worse not better. In fact the drug lord could bribe police to protect their runners and police will kill innocent to make their quota numbers of killing.

There is no such thing as international laws on drugs.
The west fail in their attempt to stop drugs growth, they are not suitable examples.

Furthermore drugs are less rampant in Philippines compare to the past.
Solving the corrupt within the police, is the key. While war on drugs must continue.

This Duterte risks his life to implement his policies.

Like other leaders, there are 2 sides. One side shows the good that he had done. The other side shows the bad that he had done. If there is no money, people will have resorted to the extreme.

You rear animals, there are floods and there are thieves. The conditions are not good. You plant marijuana, and it works. But you can get caught.

He can do what he wants to solve problems ...in the end problem has to be solved. ..but it was not ...not a single kingpin was captured or charged.

You expect those innocent whose life were lost to stay silent...that us not going to happen

For those who say his brutal method that does not work js right..

You won't say so if your child is killed.

It is easy to talk about sacrificing to solve a problem until you are the sacrifice.

Really shithouse place especially Manila. Traffic jams every day and robbery is common affair. While I was there walking on the street in broad daylight, there were always a few thug looking characters following behind making my trip really uncomfortable. Heard from some of my Philippine project crew that it is common to see dead bodies along Roxas Boulevard in the early hours during Marcos's time. .... Rolleyes

Many innocents hv been killed without trial. Kind of genocide. ICJ job summon the former President to court. Duterte failed to turn up.
