Taiwan Soldier swam to China, got rescued - theold - 10-03-2023

According to authoritative sources, the soldier surnamed Chen suspected of wearing a life jacket and swimming to the mainland of China was rescued by the Chinese mainland marine police last night.

According to our understanding, Mr. Chen served as a food soldier in Erdan Island. He has served for more than three years.

TS don't know Chinese.. so he used Google Translate for "擔任食勤兵"...which gave him "served as a food soldier"   ...The correct term for the AWOL soldier is he served as a cook.
