In places like Malaysia and Brunei where public transport is scarce, many citizens tend to drive a car.............but then the price of owning a car is not high.......... Big Grin

got this American friend of mine, he even got his own car workshop beside his landed house. He fix , fine tune his own car park inside.
Of course the car is not luxury car , his landed house is not say dam big but that is what tropical Middle income American owned.

RE: second straight round of record-high COEs - Dan - 05-04-2023

It's not the car or motorcycle ..... look at the bigger picture
It's the inability of the PAP to bring in money from abroad
This is what's happening here.
They import the rich and give them citizenships
Drive up property, rental, food and transport prices
Collect more revenues from increased taxes, COE, and GST ... etcs to meet their GDP

Is this the best they could do?

Usually first sign is they refuse to pay for parking , insist it is their entitlement to have free parking.
Gov want to raise COE, lessen the supply of COE, must at least get the stupid trains working first lah!
