switching off n then on again the inverter aircon when temporarily not on use for an hr would be more damaging to the system n electric surge will cost u more if let it run continuously ?

Best is to turn if off, cos the compressor and fan coil units consumes lots of electrical energy....

The answer is really very simple, what people would do.
Home air con - switch it off
Office air con - leave it on.
9999/10000 people would do as above.
Who here switched off his office air con when going for that one hour lunch break?

Home air cond. is a unit by itself, there is the compressor unit and the fan coil unit, whereas the office is using a central air-conditioning, and it is not convenient to switch off during a lunch break......
