If the cost of renouncing citizenship is too expensive, I think hardly anyone will want to take it up in the first place. Especially jhk.

ST forum has many boliao letters. If the cost of renunciation is too expensive, some people will rather not do it and secretly take on dual citizenship overseas but never return. Our govt still has to pay for CPF topups etc for such buggers.
