The US will send nuclear submarines to S Korea for the 1st time in more than 40 years - theold - 26-04-2023

U.S. administration sources said the plans for such submarine visits are part of an agreement that President Joe Biden is expected to sign on Wednesday with South Korean leader Jun Suk Jeol, who is visiting Washington .

"Washington Declaration"

The purpose of the agreement, referred to as the "Washington Declaration", is to deter North Korea from attacking South Korea . It will be announced at a time of growing concern over Pyongyang's frequent missile tests.
